We have an incredibly experienced leadership team of specialists, each focusing on their respective areas of responsibility, which is supported by our dedicated technical team. Our technical team is made up of experienced turbo machinery technicians that have all worked in the rotating equipment field for an average of 10 years. It is through this wealth of experience and teamwork that GTS is enabled to offer our Customers various solutions.
Every Customer job, whether for routine Parts, Service, Maintenance or an unscheduled Breakdown, is inspected first. This process ensures that all technical elements of the job at hand are reviewed, detailed and delivered upon through a focused safety approach.
GTS uses Non Destructive Testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties of material and components of our Customer’s equipment without causing damage. Our NDT process and methodology does not permanently alter the equipment being inspected, thus maintaining its original integrity.
Based on NDT results, GTS can assist in finding the right approach for our Customers needs.
GTS’ flexible solutions extend from minor Service and Repairs to complete overhauls. Our Customers rely on GTS to disassemble, find and report on faults within their equipment. Based on these reports our Customers can approve the required repair work, upon which the repair work will commence.
This also allows the Customer to focus on their core business while GTS supports them from a technical perspective. Our skilled technicians are available 24/7 to support our Customers in emergency breakdowns as well. GTS performs low speed rotor balancing to industry standards of up to G2.5 – the balancing grade for industrial rotating equipment. This is all done in our well equipped technical workshop, however in addition to our very own facilities we also have access to a high speed balancing facility in Muscat, Oman. This ensures that no matter what our Customers’ needs might be, GTS can assist in the safest most effective way, balancing productivity and costs for our Customers within the GCC Region.
GTS has skilled CAD drawing technicians within our team. These specialists are crucial to the repairs process as they can produce technical drawings of existing parts for the repair work identified and needed. Having this level of skill within the business is hugely beneficial to our Customers as it allows them to outsource their repair work to one focused and trusted partner.
Within our technical workshop, GTS has the ability to manufacture small scale parts. These parts include couplings, labyrinth seals, pump shafts to name a few. This is done with precision and care, ensuring that the desired quality output is delivered upon, with safety remaining at the core of all production.
GTS offers laser alignment services focused on products ranging from pumps to turbines, through our well qualified team available for our Customers on-site when needed. Once on-site, the team conducts laser alignment which is required to reduce vibrations and increase life expectancy on couplings and equipment bearings. This in turn reduces costs for our Customers in the long term.
GTS provides cost effective rotating equipment degaussing with our compact and portable Auto Degauss System. The unit has three convenient operating modes – manual AC, manual DC and Auto Downcycling – that eliminate residual magnetism in complex metal structures, machinery parts and high strength alloy components.
Our Auto Degauss System has multiple cable power delivery options applicable for various turbine and compressor rotors and blading, steam turbine stator vanes and casings. The system is automated for consistent results and yet completely portable to perform the job on site.
With the downcycling process of rotor degaussing, we’re able to reduce deep-seated magnetism strategically and systematically. At each downcycling step, the Auto Degauss reverses polarity and applies a precalculated power value to gradually reduce the magnetic field. With residual magnetism spot checks during the process, we can ensure you get the best results for your high-speed rotating equipment.
With the HandySCAN 700 Elite© 3D Scanner, we can conduct 3D scanning of physical objects anywhere. Our handheld 3D scanner is a standalone device that doesn’t need a tripod nor any external tracking device to operate, so it’s highly portable, accurate and simple to use.
Our scanner delivers accurate and reliable 3D measurements. Thanks to dynamic referencing using multiple laser crosses and an automatic mesh generation, both the 3D scanner and the part can move freely during the scanning process.
We’ve successfully scanned complex rotating equipment components and can perform reverse engineering to produce modified parts drawings for various applications. These include repairing defects, incorporating design changes and upgrades for increased reliability, or even creating new products.
With every repair job GTS creates a complete data pack which is delivered to our Customers, upon completion of the job. This includes but often is not limited to disassembly records, inspection reports, final assembly reports etc. This sees every job leaving our premises or our technicians leaving the Customer’s premises, with a quality assurance document file.
GTS has a dedicated team of experienced and knowledgeable technicians who are supportive of our Customers through a 24/7 breakdown service. Our technicians can provide this support in our workshop or on-site at our Customers premises.
By our Customers outsourcing technical support to a dependable and local 3rd party – GTS, we have developed a trusted partnership which allows our Customers to focus on their core business and competencies. By having one consolidated solution partner, our Customers are able to reduce their non-core staffing requirements and simplify their purchasing process, thereby reducing their expenses.
We ensure that consistent support is provided to our Customers at the highest levels through customising contracts with pre-agreed deliverables which can even include fixed rates for various types of Services and Repairs. This enables our Customers to better plan their maintenance work, ensuring uptime is maximised. Mobilisation of our technical team to provide on-site solutions is also available for unscheduled maintenance work or breakdowns. By partnering with our Customers in this way we are able to offer advice and guidance on safety, quality and forecasting for preventative maintenance work. Flexibly to service our Customers remains key to ensuring their uptime.
We also partner with other OEM brands who do not have a localised presence in country. We do this through working under the OEM’s supervision and guidance, which benefits the Customer as the work is performed in country by GTS and the OEM warranty remains in tact.
